In collaboration with River City Company, I designed a new banner for Chattanooga’s City Center District that enhances the downtown atmosphere while celebrating the city’s revitalization and continued growth.
Overview
Chattanooga’s City Center, often called “where the magic happens,” is a vibrant district stretching from 4th to 12th Street and serves as the heart of the city’s revitalization. Here, towering skyscrapers blend seamlessly with lively inner-city parks. The area is home to major businesses, innovative start-ups, and a diverse mix of local restaurants and shops, creating a dynamic balance of work and play. City Center stands as a cornerstone of Chattanooga’s growth and unique charm.

Process
My design for the new City Center district banner was created to be vibrant and welcoming. Using a dynamic layout and a warm color palette with rich gradients, the design reflects the district’s energy and charm. The front of the banner highlights the iconic Tivoli blade of the historic Tivoli Theatre. The back showcases a stunning sunset over City Center as streetlights illuminate downtown. Landmarks such as The City Thread, Pickle Bar, and Warehouse Row frame a lively scene of people enjoying the vibrant community atmosphere of Miller Park. These banners not only attract visitors but also serve as inviting and informative markers for residents and newcomers alike.
